Description The degree to which a material in environmental media can be assimilated by an organism.
Definition Bioavailability

The degree to which an agent is capable of being absorbed by an organism and available for metabolism or interaction with biologically significant receptors. Bioavailability involves both release from a medium (if present) and absorption by an organism. Degree of ability to be absorbed and ready to interact in organism metabolism.
